United States Army Air Force TB-17G bomber in level flight, September 1943

BIG Thank you to Bill Frick for USAF decal, I have two extra, if anyone ever wants one...

I'm using 80 grit sandpaper to create surface scratches, then 3M Red Scotchbrite Pad to scuff the entire exterior

3M Scotchbrite General Purpose Hand Pads

Using Xacto knife to remove portions of the decal.

Sometimes those rivits get oil runs, dirt runs, and rust runs after them opposite the direction of flight. Just food for thought.
Lookin good man!

Excellent work so far, as always. I really like the theme too.

My modding friend, FannBlade offered his fabrication skills to create replica scale wwII Bomb from scratch, using all aluminum. The replica will be suspended in the front intake, and for those interested, this could be designed as liquid cooling reservoir too, FannBlade is imagining an acrylic tube inserted and the fittings out the back side and make top removable.

Some Reference images for the Replica of the WWII Bomb

Materials for construction of the replica

3.5" diameter solid aluminum rod

These will be the fins
