Lightbulb Rampage

Combination of new and used products as well as an accumulation of items I purchased from users.

Using my Lian Li case that I've had for a few years - PC-Z60 Lian Li

Items so far
  • Asus Maximus V Formula
  • Intel 3770K
  • Pair of Trident X F3-2400C10D-16GTX
  • Pair of Samsung 840 Pro SSD 256GB each - Raid 0 - what the hell
  • 1 WD 2TB Caviar Black HD
  • Enzotech Sapphire waterblock SCW-REV A with Enzotech 1156-Z retention module
  • Box of Bitzpower barbs and compression fittings.
  • 1/2OD - like the look of the bigger tubes
  • Pair of Spectre Pro - White 120mm - there ok - like the led light for the cooling chamber area
  • Scythe SFF21E - had these for sometime, most reliable, performing /db I've used - for the rad
  • XSPC RX240 dual radiator - thick sucker
  • Lian Li PCZ60 case - clean and professional looking
  • XSPC reservoir with D5 pump
  • Antec 1000W power supply

TOOLS and BANDAGES

Makita 90 degree drill, Dewalt 18v, Milwaukee jigsaw, Arrow hand rivet gun, lots of sandpaper, spray paint, safety glasses, and supplies etc...bandages and tetanus shot

First, I drilled out the rivets to remove the hot swap sata chamber, cut it down and relocated it to the side, making sure that if I win the lottery, I can install 3 Titans ! - yeah right

Sanded down the rad, added a drain in the bottom, two coats of clear lacquer and added some lexan to separate the cooling chamber from the rest of the case. Also drilled an access whole at the bottom of the case to get to the welded drain. Cut a square whole out to run the tubing to the upper CD chamber areas where the reservoir will be installed.

Do you see my lucky $2 bill ?

Now I did spray paint the rad originally but didn't like it and opted for a paint scrape, sand and lacquer finish instead. Added a drain in the bottom since it will be the lowest part of the case. Fully pressure tested and passed.

I relocated the swap chamber to the side, riveted all together, drilled and tapped for some added mb screws so I can put in the Lexan beerier. Also cut the back of the case ( rectangular area ) so I can easily plug in the sata and power cables to the SSD and HD. Waiting for more supplies including ( the u-channel is a must for the cut out area's in a Lian Li case ).
  1. 1x 6ft u-channel
  2. 1x 12" x 12" Di-Noc CF sheet
  3. 1x PC Window Applique "Asus ROG"
  4. 1x Molex Pin Removal Tool
  5. 1x 120mm Silver Overkill Turbine
  6. From MnpcTech.com

Most people who browse worklogs generally don't post anything in the thread so I say keep on posting.
