Black and White Cosmos II
Purolator showed up at my door this morning, I've had this box sitting at home waiting to get cracked open.
And here's a little part list sneak peek:
Asus Sabertooth Z77
16GB Kingston HyperX Black
I'm still waiting on an order of white vinyl wrap and I'm hoping to get an order in with Nils shortly for the rest of the sleeving/heatshrink I need.
Now I guess we'll go through the obligatory picture of all the fancy schmancy boxed parts I've got waiting. The Sabertooth and 3770k are used, so they're both in the same box.
Full parts list as it stands:
- Cooler Master Cosmos II with Corsair AF series fans
- i7 3770k
- Asus Sabertooth Z77
- 16GB Kingston HyperX 1600MHz
- EVGA GTX680
- Auzentech Forte
- Kingwin Lazer 1000W Modular PSU
- Storage is 1x 1TB (OS), 3x 2TB (Storage/backup), and possibly a 60GB SSD for Photoshop/Lightroom use
- EK Supreme HF Cu Nickel
- Aquacomputer AquagraFX GTX680
- XSPC AX360 Black with 3x 2150RPM Scythe Gentle Typhoon
- Corsair MCP355 pump with EK DDC X-RES 140 Top
- Giving the new Primochill tubing a shot
So far all I've been able to do it Memtest the new RAM. 5 hours so far without error, but I had to cut it short since I need sleep and I don't want the cat to maul my new parts. I like this picture, a mix of old and new stuff!
Great set of parts you have there Lpfan4ever :thumb:
And a great looking case
This is going to be spectacular!
Can't wait to see more updates!
in for more updates, looks like an interesting build thread.
I didn't get much done tonight as I didn't feel terribly well. With that said, tomorrow I plan to get the case modding done right after work. I'm putting my damn radiator in the top of the case whether Cooler Master wants it or not! (Barbs facing down of course ) I realize I may be going insane as I am chopping up a $350 case that hasn't seen a single part inside of it.
Gonna have the Corsair AF120's in the bracket for HDD cooling. Doubt they need that much cooling, but the fans look cool!
And here is why I need an order with Nils. Most of these will stay hidden and/or unplugged, but I'm gonna try to sleeve what I can.
Update time! I got the top panel cut out. Cutting was surprisingly easy despite the thickness of the case. (One side is a bit off, I know. I corrected that a bit with my file) The biggest problem was cleanup, because those metal shards just stuck to everything.
Radiator sits pretty well in the opening. With compressed fittings I should have a little bit of clearance still.
Speaking of cleaning up metal shards, this magnet came in handy! Just make sure that if you do decide to use a magnet to pick up the shards, keep a good grip on it. I let that get out of my hands and it made a ding on the back of my 5.25" bays.
Here's a little teaser of the package I got today. Maybe you guys can figure out what it is?
I say the Res/Pump Top
Probably CF vinyl.
