Waterpump wiring
 

I've got a Laing DDC pump and it has a 4 pin molex with yellow and black and a 3 pin fan molex with blue,

now im dumb about what i've done but its not plugged in yet, what is the blue for ?

i've cut and soldered all the wires onto a 3 pin fan molex so i can plug my pump on my Fan controller to push 30W on it and i soldered the black on black, yellow on yellow and blue on red, will i damage the pump beeing connected like that or the blue is only a RPM wires and will no affect anything ?

Having any power going to the blue wire will more than likely burn out the pump. It is for RPM readout only. Connect it to your motherboard or leave it unconnected and tucked away.

use the third pin for pump RPM wire or use an old fan connector using only sense wire on one MB fan header

man those laing pump aren't silent :P

What I did with my DDC 3.25 18watt pump with tach was wire it all up into 1 - 3 pin fan plug. I then plugged it into a 30watt/channel fan controller. I'm now able to adjust the pump speed via my fan controller. The fan controller also has a LED display for RPM, Volts, and Temp senors. My DDC is silent mounted in an XSPC dual bay res. the pin out for the fan plug doesn't change. You can simply look at any fan with a proper 3 pin plug and just copy that.

its silent now, i guess its loud when it has air in the system haha, but i tried on my 30W fan controller and its doesnt spin, it does 1/4 turn every 2 seconds, so i plugged it on the motherboard now and the fans also, since my fan controller made my thermalright fans make some sort of wierd noise now they are silent aswell on the motherboard

I would take a look at that controller. The G-Vans i'm using has no trouble at all runnng the pump up to 4500rpm. I keep it throttled down to 3850rpm for completely silent operation.
The pump I'm usings requires a min 9volts to start, and a max voltage of 13.2 .

dont know why its not turning the DDC pump on and making that noise on my Thermalright fans only but oh well
