Pics look great. I love Monsoon fittings. I won't use anything else anymore (not to knock Bitspower, but I prefer my Monsoons.)
Your sleeve... Copper, Vanilla Sands, Shade 19, and Black?
I didnt steal anything
Thanks
I love the monsoons too they are just so shiny in orange looks like copper in low light

I have decided to go with orange/shade19/yellow and black

will save the vanilla I have for another build

Little progress.. more in experimenting on the already messed up door

Considered a round window for the side and wanted to see how the hole saw would work on it

and laid out for a square window

Hole saw worked well and cut both aluminum skins nice, drilled in both directions

you can see in this pic did a nice job and plastic is nicely cut

When i cut the square out for the window with a 36 tpi jigsaw blade it cut clean but not as nice as the holesaw

I used a heatgun to remove what was left of the aluminum skin off the door to release the adhesive
it did get easier to remove but I could never get a full panel off without denting it in the process....its pretty thin

also I will need different u-channel moulding if I stick with these doors mine isnt wide enough to cover this thickness
Now I am considering a few other options for the doors
Scratch doors or perhaps I will make custom mdf trim moulding for window
these plastic doors get quite wobbly once you remove the skins

Well, I'm glad your Bosch bit worked for YOU. lol, when I had a Bosch bit it did nothing but mangle the hell out of the metal I was working with. However, nice dewalt!

Good to see progress being made. :) However, I'd like to see some more large-scale pics of the entire project. I think you've got a killer build going, but I want to see the whole thing. Then again, perhaps you haven't done enough work and aren't ready for those kinds of pics yet. Either way, I really enjoy your build log.

BTW, I stole your color scheme a little, just ordered some Shade 19. :D

The bosch bit worked well but went slow and the metal was thin and the plastic didnt stand a chance

Thanks now the case is still together but missing some pieces as modding continues
I will try some full shots for you soon, the ones I took didnt turn out very well
need to rewire the front panels and get rid of the blue led's
have a big order should be here soon hopefully friday

You cant go wrong with shade 19,awesome shade
darker than grey but lighter than black
I wish Nils would make some jumbo shade 19
for usb3 cables ,but I might try your method for sleeving them thx for that

Any chance you will be popping out that panel and turning it around to match the left side?

Not totally sure what you mean ,the midplate panel needs to be riveted in and mobo tray sits on it
if you mean the front they have to be like that for the doors to work

The wires come up thru midplate and under the mobo tray should make for super clean cabling

Sorry yeah that made no sense at all. :P I had a surgery yesterday and I'm kinda buzzin off the meds. Here is a paint picture that will hopefully explain what I mean better.

Pop the highlighted panell off the chassis and turn it around to match the other one and rivet it back in place.
