Amazing work man. Just amazing. Keep it up and I can finally say I am inspired. I have seen so many builds and mods before but the sheer simplicity and techniques that you have deployed on yours is just, awesome.

I'm not sure I'd call much of what lowfat does "simple", but his techniques certainly inspire me as well. So much so, I hope he doesn't mind if I use a couple of them for my next build..... :)

BTW... I tried the Rust-oleum spray product (ProGrip) on a couple of chrome fan guards and aside from my own mistake of spraying too much on the first coat (can needs to be started on a scrap surface first time out) it seems to do a great job. Just like using a spray can to paint, multiple low coverage coats seems to be the way to go.

Actually I would say everything I do is rather simple. Just takes planning, patience and not being afraid of doing something over again if it isn't right the first time.

The ProGrip has a significantly better spray nozzle so I actually expect it to be quite a bit better than the Plasti-Dip. Nothing is worse than cheap spray nozzles on paint.

When you use it, I'm not sure if I had a bum can, but it took quite a bit of pressure on the cap to get it started, and even then it seemed like it was blocked and when the pressure overcame the blockage that's when I ended up with an excessive initial overspray.

That said, I'm liking the outcome and I've got a couple of different applications I want to try out on my next build.

I posted about this in the networking forum but no one really goes there.

I got the Infiniband working between my server and workstation this weekend. Results aren't what I hoped but kind of what I expected. The Infiniband adapters I am using are ~4 generations old and have very little Windows support. The only drivers available are open source and they don't support features like SRP and RDMA. So performance suffers drastically. This is w/ a 30GB iSCSI mounted ram drive. Not exactly what I am suppose to do w/ a 30GB drive that is quite a bit slower than my boot drive.
