It tests to check and see if the shielding might break apart, or be damaged like most rubbers. Iso is pretty rough on most surfaces

You look for swelling/inks removed , color into the ISO......etc.....It's pretty obvious when Iso doesnt like a plastic.......

I hope there's additional lenght in that harness (nicely made, BTW), in case the board blows up, and the replacement board does not have the connectors at the same location...

edit....: I thought you 'Aircraft' guys might like that half hitch....... I saw that for the first time when I took apart a DC-3......I've used it on my wiring for years now......
