I've started the grinding/filing/sanding of the top access holes....There's (maybe) 1 more hole to cut into the top , and once they are all cleaned up , the tops done.
I'm onto the last 'Irritating chore' of this build , and I've tried sooo hard to get someone else to do it but......
I am it the process of building the power harness for the tank. It's a custom sleeved , 5 foot long 24 pin ATX connector (M-F extension) , with a 4 pin 12V (M-F extension) and a 5 wire SATA power........
To this end , I bought the wire today : 14 ga stranded copper , heatshrink etc....
I got lucky with the 'male' connector bigtime : I had one.....The female I had to cut off a perfectly good PSU.....Ah well.
Step 1 : Quick compatibilty test....Soak in Iso for a while and see what happens.
I'm setting up my soldering station for the 60+ solder connections.....
24+SB cores , 7x Asus Strix 1070's ,storage, memory n stuff.Dual 4k monitor video .
Lol, perhaps in russia, with vodka... but even canadian beer wouldn't act that fast i don't think :) Depending on how large the sip is though ?
Back on topic though: Brain, feel free to pm/email me if you have any soldering questions. I used to work with an automation company making wiring for custom machinery. Any and all question are fine ;) I'll be glad to help anyway i can and put my 0.02 into this monster. Cheers!
