Keep up the good work BrainEater!

I was on a cruise not too long ago that IIRC got 2 feet to the gallon lol

and braineater i forgot about the truck load of servers lol. well at least youll have some pcs to test in the thinktank

also once your all done you need to rework it to fit in the server rack you got, this way it will be "compact"

Hehe...HaDeS lives about a mile from me .. we drink beer ...

-------------

It's not that I'm not allowed , it's that Iso , N2 and co2 are all heavier that air.....My computer room is a basement , so thats asking for trouble.All operation will be in my garage workshop , it's level with the ground at least .......

--------

Ok....here's yer update. =)

The second coat of silicone on the inner-outer tank seal has cured :

Don't worry bout the mess , it all gets covered .
-------

This has allowed me to start the tank insulation ........ I basically have to isolate the 'outer' tank from the inner........I'm using the grey closed cell foam I tested earlier and silicone.....here's a strip being sized.

---------

2 'underside' foams in :

--------

------

Here's the long piece of foam shown earlier installed :

-------

The backplate gets similar foams.It will have 2 layers when complete :

--------

Once the silicone 'glue' layers dry (I have 2 stages of this to do ), all the seams get sealed with silicone , and the foam get a thin silicone topcoat.

--

I've also started serious thought about 'keying' the flare connectors on the back , so they are immobile........It will insure the seals , but it's a pain.......I hav'nt decided yet.

----------

Did some stuff today , now that the first stage of top edge foam/siliconing has had it's cure time.....Second stage of foam top edge :

--------

The second stage needs another week to cure....however , at this point I can begin work on the final stage of this edge : full silicone coating......Got some minor bits to do first tho.....

I'm debating about just leaving the copper gas lines open.......it really doesn't matter operationally....not insulating them will save me a lot of hassles.

---------

I've decided to 'just giver' on the backplate.

I need a 'redirection' pipe on the input so the liquid doesnt come out in one strong stream........but I think I have a method of doing this without soldering , so I have installed the flare unions to the backplate :

Cleaned with soap+water , then Iso ;

-----

Threadtaped ;

-----

Bead of RTV 157 ;

-----

Inlet installed ;

----------

All three done ;

----------

The backplate is in a curebox for a week.

The tank proper should be finished (curetime included) in 30 -45 days.

Meanwhile......

I am working on the motherboard mounts right now.I *might* have more pics up today , we'll see how it goes.....
