My System Specs

Default FutureMarks

Finally got hooked up to net, finished stability testing @ stock and got some FutureMark benchmarks.

3DMark06 ORB - Compare
3DMark05 ORB - Compare
3DMark03 ORB - Compare
PCMark05 ORB - Compare

Will probably run it here for a little while with minor tweaks.

My System Specs

Default

12714 in 3dmark06 right ?

I'm ran my system in sig last night, did 12395 with e8400 at 4.0 and 8800GT at 660mhz (stock from Zotac). I'd think you should hit close to 14000 once you start oc'ing your parts.

Nice build, enjoy it.

My System Specs

Default First Ever OC - CPU only (no smoke)

Well I couldn't sit on it for very long once I knew that I had put it together properly. Here's what the numbers looked like stock.

I've used the bios to set the fsb to 400 and took the vcore up slightly. It's been running Prime 95 x64 for a few hours and all seems to be looking good. I'll need to work on the ram voltages and timings after I'm done with the stability test.

Up until now, I thought I had a dead temp sensor on the 2nd core, but it appears that it reads temps above 41c. The highest core temp that I've seen after 3 hours is 46c, so I think that I'm doing OK so far.

I've got the 1066 ram throttled back to 800 right now. If anyone has advice on cpu, fsb, nb voltages and ram timings and voltages; I'm certainly all ears.

After I'm finished Prime95 I'll try some new FutureMarks. Thanks for your help everyone!

You have a very nice combo - I used to have the same board and CPU, which managed to hit 4.3Ghz with a Vcore of 1.45 under water. With Air, I would not go over 65C / 1.40V Vcore. NB volts need a bump once you reach 400 FSB, and you can easily set this at +0.3V with a nice fan on top of the stock cooler.

Though with 4x1Gb sticks, you may have a hard time oc'ing; if the oc is not stable, remove 2 sticks and try again.
