My System Specs

Default (Updated Oct 2)Soullessone21's Gaming Server is Under Water

Fathers Day hit and my kids said I could have the morning to work on my computer, so I decided to use some of the great gear I have traded forum members for.

System Specs
  • 2x 4280 8 Core C32 CPU's that Run at 3600GHz on 16 cores
  • 32GB ECC DDR3 1600 Kingston Ram 4x8GB Sticks
  • WD 1TB Black Data Drive
  • 120GB OCZ V3 Drive OS(mounted behind the mobo)
  • Nvidia 670...Wait that card Failed.. AMD 6970 CUII Under Water
  • Shinobi XL Case Windowed
  • 750Watt Antec PSU
  • (Just Showed up Mio 888 Card)
  • Asus KCMA-D8 Dual C32 Mobo
  • Windows 7 Pro 64bit
Water Cooling Parts
  • 2x OCZ Universal Waterblocks(if you like how they look I have about 20 more unopened)
  • EK CoolStream Rad XT 240 With Noctua Pull and Stock 200mm Shinobi Push
  • Rasa Block and custom Vram Coolers on 6970 CUII
  • EK Green Coolant
  • Primochill White 3/8 Pipe
  • XSPC Dual Bay Reservoir with Swiftech 350 Pump built under/in

Hour 1 Take pix of old system

Hour 1.01 Make sure Blocks fit stock mounts

Hour 1.02 Start taking case apart and making room for parts

Hour 1.03 Make a mount for the Rad so that it wont shake and fits right in

Hour 1.04 Put the Pipes on and the WC GPU back in.

Hour 1.05 Testing.

If you didn't notice above but the Noctua fans are upside down, this is my kinda flying half massed thing as the Noctua fans did not seem to like the mobo for some reason, once I get a fan controller I will switch them right side up and be happy again. They never spin above 500 RPM.

Temps are down from 55c under load to around 35c

GPU is down from 70c to 50c under load.
System is much more silent and doesn't act as a space heater anymore.

Still need to mount a larger rad to the top and get a better GPU in the system.

Going to load a Quad rad in if possible.

Also need to mod the side panel to get better air flow on the GPU, as well as mode the front to provide air cooling or Get longer feet for the case so it doesn't suck up so much dog hair.

Threw a new fan in the back a Scythe one and now my Temps are even better.
4 Hours gaming 30C Average 44C(MAX) big battles(CPU)
42C to max out at 49C(MAX)(GPU)

Now still need 1 or 2 more rads and lots of case modding to get this a little better

Nice. How's that 200mm infront of your 240 rad working? I'm curious as to how it would compare to dual 120's in the front.
