Default Sleeving question

Would it be ok to remove the PSU connection from my corsair PCIE cables and attach it to my sleeved cable extensions? I really don't want to sleeve all my cables...... who does?

Why not? I can't see there being a problem with that. Its actually a rather brilliant idea.

Just make sure every cable is in the correct position and take your time! Last thing you want to do is fry something. (RIP old hard drive)

Be careful the one coming from your PSU (the original cables are Male to Male) and the one you got there in blue are Female !!! Then you can't just replace them you have to replace the connector too

Only one side would have to be switched to female. But good catch. I didn't realize that until now.

the molex pin crimp tool and all the pins are available at DAZ.
I would suggest a good wire stipper from C.Tire or H.Depot as well.

Chances are the sleeving will be pulled off or damaged if you plan on removing the crimp pins.

Does this mean I will have to re heatshrink it and possibly shorten it to clean it up a bit? I have the female pins on the way. I really want to try this as I don't think I have the patience to fully sleeve all of my cables.
