Well finally getting around to moddin up my old Computer. It will be a slow work in progress due to many factors but I still hope on updating the thread and build as much as i can.

The case: Compaq Presario Media Center SR1913WM


The pictures were taken from a google image search the only difference between my case and the one shown is the side panel ( different hole pattern for incoming air ) my case below.

Small update. here is a picture of front face plate with trim removed

Our vacuum broke and as i was taking it down stairs to throw it away I thought i would salvage some parts.

cut the top off of the hepa filter cover were the release latch used to be and will use is for a fan cover here is a picture of a mock-up.

and the sweet fan i picked up for 2.00

here is the location that the fan will be located. It will not be mounted to the face plate.

I must admit I am liking that front hepa grill

what color will it be?

I don't know how restrictive a hepa filter would be on air but it would be a cool idea to have it in your computer as it would double as a dust filter and as an air filter for the room your PC will be in.

So far the plans for color are flat black, gloss black, green and white. I also am going to use the Hepa filter cover for a fan guard there will be no filter inside because i will be bonding it to the faceplate.

The Hepa filter idea is cool.

So doing what i can when i can while watching "The Voice" with the wife last night I began unpinning the PSU Cables. the tool i used to this was two paper clips flattened on the ends with a hammer. Worked better than expected. results thus far.

I have at least one of these cases laying around the house. I'm looking forward to seeing how this turns out!

Same here :) I have a general idea of the overall design and color scheme but nothing is set in stone.
