I read that lots of people complained that these cases are hard to put together. Without instructions its so simple.

Blocks aren't in yet. Ordered 4 the day they released and I just got the 4th one today (April 9).

Looks like a fun build
Nice case congrats
how many loops?

MattC April 9, 2012 10:04 PM

Just one loop. Dual DDC pumps. GPUs in parallel.

MattC April 10, 2012 05:58 PM

Most of the remaining parts I needed arrived today. Just missing my third XSPC RX360 rad, and the GPU backplates.

At the moment I am testing the board and GPUs before I install the blocks.

I think I will go with the Red/Black block as it looks the best. I also have a Black/Nickle Heatkiller as well that is currently installed on my other system.

Four Nickle/Acrylic Blocks and the EK GPU bridge. I have the links, but they really arent exciting enough to include in photos.

Thats where my CPU Block went! I love the: EK-Supreme HF - Acetal-Nickel EN Rev4 - CPU WaterBlock That's the one I'll be getting when DazMode restocks!!

What are you plans with this rig? Bragging rights ;) Also how did you decided on LGA 2011 and the 3930k? I've been having this battle back and forth between that and seeing what Z77 has to offer.

Nice start though!
Chomie.

It basically snowballed from 3 680s to 4, then i figured I would just jump to socket 2011.

Rig will be used for surround gaming and to make my e-peen big

X79 > Z77 if you plan on doing 3+ videocards or need the PCIe bandwidth for other stuff. Or if you just want some serious CPU power.

Seriously jealous of that GPU power, MattC. More jealous that you were actually able to get your hands on the cards. GTX680s seem to be as rare as gold these days.

gonna look sharp

Is there a hole in the red block for led placement?

What tubing you using?

MattC April 10, 2012 07:14 PM

There are two LED holes in the red block and I am using red tubing. Red and black is the theme. Pretty common theme but I like it.

I ordered the GPUs from ncix the second they were available, and I just got the last card yesterday. So yeah they appear to be difficult to obtain.

This looks like a quite the build you have started here = can't wait to see the end result.

Black and red is a fine combination and none the worse for having been done before! :thumb:
