Pictures! |
Looks sick. Can't wait to see this start coming together. I'm planning a similar build hopefully in July (after my exams). I may have to "borrow" some of your ideas. |
You bought some really nice gear there! Just installed that pump myself-love it very powerful and quite silent at full power on its sticky pad (which actually works). |
Thats a beautiful looking case my friend, I'm a sucker for the black anodized aluminum look. Also wanna see how the hardware performs, what GPU are you going to? |
That's a sweet looking setup you've got going there! |
It's going to be slow going for the next little while, mostly because the radiator that I bought has the barbs placed in the wrong spot for the case. Which means that I have had to rethink my whole custom mounting mechanism to allow for at least 3" of height between the radiator and case to allow the tubing to enough room to make the tight bend. If anyone has an idea for a custom mount for the rad, feel free to post 'em, anything is helpful!:thumb: On a much more exciting note, thanks to Cptn. Vortex's generosity, I will actually have a reservoir! |
Good to hear that you've got the res worked out. As far as ideas for mounting your rad go... it would probably help if you put up a simple paint diagram of your initial plan, and why it won't work. |
1 Attachment(s) Hmmmm....well... You could always totally remove the harddrive bays, and get some 4-in3 bay adapters, like Silversone ones... for mounting your harddrives. Here is a small scetch of what I think would work, with little or no cutting needed, as the entire base of the case appears to be vented. In theory it should work, but not sure how to get all that hot air out of there... |
Whee fun! Nice haul! Wher is the pre-drilled rad mount loacted on the case- top? Pretty frustrating that it doesn't line up- you would think they'd make the rad compatibility pretty clear in the specs. Maybe you could use some risers under the rad so that the hoses can go through the drilled holes but bend a bit before attaching to the fittings- maybe a couple of swiftech rad boxes might fill the order. |
Well there are no holes down there, he would need to drill some. Up top is where the regular holes are, but a 3x120mm rad wont fit |
