My System Specs

Default RV02 Wire Sleeving and other stuff

On Christmas I got a MDPC sleeving kit and recently i've gone ahead and started using it. Tricky Stuff sometimes but the results are great. I'm working towards doing all the cables in my case but the PSU will be done last because I can't live with a lot of computer down time due to school and work.

Pics of the System

So I've already done a lot already.
  • Front Panel Wires
  • Cold Cathodes
  • Terminal Block for Lighting
  • Fan Wires Sleeved
  • Scythe Ace Fan Controller fully sleeved
  • etc.

but I'll try and get pics and show you everything i've done, hopefully others will be inspired.

Default Sleeving Scythe Kama Ace fan controller

I sleeved everything and by everythings i mean,
  • 4 temp probe wires
  • 4 fan connection wires
  • power wire

What i still have to do is wire it to my terminal block to get rid of molex.

here are the pics

-Beginning of temp probes and compared to what they were before...

-Temp probe ends and comparison

-Fan Input wires with comparison

-Second picture of fan connectors

More pictures to come when i get a chance!

How are you shrinking the heatshrink? Just curious, also it is looking nice are you going to two tone it?

The power supply i might two tone im not certain yet, as for how i shrink heat shrink i use Bic lighter which seems to work really well. Using a lighter i find that tight job where there isn't much space and where you have to make shrink as small as possible work out pretty great. Jumping back to the two tone question everything is black, mobo is a sabertooth and really only other color is blue ccfl, i have some red ccfl lying around but i'd like to know what color combo's you guys think would be the best.

Ah 990FX sabertooth or 1155 socket? I love my 990FX sabertooth even though it doesn't go with other colours in my case the thermal radar is great and gives me peace of mind. Also you ever get get black marks from the lighter flame?

actually x58 sabertooth, 12gb mushkin ridgeback black, gtx 460, i7950. Black marks? on wires rarely and usually only when the shrink has to be close to connector

Default More pictures, terminal block!

Well i took some more photos and finished up my terminal block.

Another image of terminal block and wires entering it. Lights 5v front leds and cold cathodes but cathodes are separated by original RV02 case switch for fans. I removed the switches from the 180mm fans because they are not needed with my fan controller and serve a better function for case lighting.

Now a picture of how i cleaned up the switch wires from fans. Due to the fact that the switch are not in line with power wire i has to solder the yellow (full power) signal wire and the black wire together then i sleeved and shrinked all three wires together isolating the soldered wires by electrical tape.

Lastly we have two picture of fan wires, one is of connection between fan and controller and other is the cable management clamp i got from mdpc.
