My System Specs

Default Forever Alone build

Completed pics.

Now the work log:

Forgot to take a pic of the case before I started pulling it apart. But it is a Silverstone FT02BW.

Case interior after I removed the fans/shrouds.

Drive cage has been stripped. Mounted motherboard + PSU.

The Rasa that I'll be reusing. I used some Koolance 38mm radiator fan mounts to secure the block since I haven't been able to buy the actual mounting.

Must say that the IO shield for this board looks fantastic. But look at all the steel rivets. Those definitely are going to need replacing.

HD7970 all nekkid & sexy. Block is back ordered. Hope to buy two more here soon.

Fusion-IO ioXtreme. 80GB. My gaming and application drive.

Crucial M4. 64GB. OS drive + less important applications.

Titanium HD which will be my headphones card.

And then the trusty Auzentech Prelude for analog 5.1.

Did some testing for a few days. Can we say ghetto?

Yup, that looks secure.

Desk at the moment. I have two U2711's that will be used for some serious eyefinity. Just waiting for the mounts to arrive.

Some pics of the sleeving so far. Spent way too much time on 24 pin. There is a wire or two I will likely fix before all said and done. Also gave the case the MDPC-X treatment. Replaced all rivets and screws with black ones.

Another nice build, Interested to know what FPS you get once you get the other u2711's, I have been wanting add 2 more but I just dont think the GFX horsepower is there yet. But I am on lowly 2x6970's not 3x7970's :/
Still that is a shit ton of pixel density.

And Yeah I like that desk also, ALU?

The desk is from Ikea. It is rather cheap but it is long enough to fit 3 27" displays easily enough.

Lowfat,
Amazing sleeve job.... Amazing desk.
I love this build so far. Beautiful choice of sleeve color, great cable management.

I assume you're going to use a 3x180 rad.

I cant wait to see what you have planned.

Beautiful work as always- I would show a picture of my cesspool of a desk for a blinding contrast, but it would be ther very definition of thread crapping :-)

8-D, if you're doing 3x180 with all three fans on low your gonna love how quiet the rig is, especially the fortress with sound dampening. All you gotta do is isolate pump vibration and you have a real quiet rig.

And I hate typing on my mobile...

I wish I had the money and skills to polish my rig so well as you and some of the other mod powerhouses around here.

Glad I'm not the only person with dust problems.

Sick build so far, can't wait to see the completed work of art.

One question, the fan grills on the bottom look very restrictive.
Have you though about fabricating an open-styled grill (old Thermochill style) that is riveted to the case to keep structural integrity? You could also add a stretched out speaker cloth, or some other type of free flowing filter fixed to a frame with neodymium magnets for easy removal for cleaning.

EDIT: Have you changed the op-amps in the I/V section of your Ti HD?
