I was waiting for the koolance that i preordered then I found the ek's in stock

either I'll sell a pair of blocks or get 2 more 7970's for quadmania

tough to say how much time i spent on it
sleeving has taken alot of time
last week one modular cable took over 2 hours to do and i think there is 14 more
24 pin was a long day
I have alot of custom modding planned in the next week or 2
and have a huge order arriving next week
is going to be 3 loops and I just might be able to achieve 44 fans installed
yeah its a little overkill lol

Back to the Typhoon Modding
At the beginning of the project I did 16 GT Fans this way
Now I need 10 more
you peel back the sticker on the shroud



Then you see the tiny horseshoe clip holding the fan to housing



I tried to buy a proper spring clip tool but the smallest out there was too big for it
so i used 2 precision screwdrivers to undo the clip

out of the first 16 I lost 1 clip and broke 2

Note to self
dont have typhoons in a box with the heatgun cord behind it for sleeving
move the heatgun...typhoons hit the floor




HEARTBREAK RIDGE


Because they are made of a composite material they shatter

I quickly fiqured out I should have a massive magnet to help catch the jumping clips
and used a magnet tray to help and it worked great never lost any after that



Then you mask the fan spindles off



Then you start applying thin coats
this is 2nd coat



i did about 6 coats on each side on this set of 10



then remove masking and time to reasemble





When i did the first batch of fans i sleeved them all black
This set i added some white and red sleeve to mix it up

My GF got me this for Valentines Day
A PEDESTAL







Picked up a couple of bitfenix 140 mm red led fans with on/off control





Two of the 480 Rads will go in the pedestal





Think i'll put a bubble window res and the fc-9 in the bsmt



With only adding 8" in height The pedestal will defintely give me more options
With such a large case the possibilities are mind boggling
Think i'm gonna need more fittings

I recieved some more goodies in the mail along with my first ram waterblock and pass thru fittings





I have 4 2 meter red led strips





I also have 4 sets of cold cathode UV lighting to install with a few uv lazer spots





Bluetooth to go into nzxt usb expander board




I am about to start running the tubing i have red,black and white options







With my pedestal order i recieved another motherboard tray with 40mm fan holes instead of mesh



i also recieved red plexi for the side doors not sure about it
What do you guys think?



I finally made my mind up to put the thick RX rads in the top



with the 55mm triebworks fans pushing out



For the pedestal i am going to mount the fans external along with HC grills painted black on Koolance 140 to 120 adapters gonna try to paint the lettering white



Front lit up going to change some of the 5.25 positions but they will all be filled
should make cable management a nightmare

After 20 straight days of work I am hoping to get back to my 44 Magnum project

I found some new recruits for my regiment of fittings





Finally found a solution to mosfet block connection



After seeing Ice Dragon in Lowfats wicked rig thought i would try it in 1 loop
Recieved it frozen ....Oh Canada....perhaps they should make better labels



mounted the Ek Ramblock to Dominator ram



working on the mounting of pumps and drains in the pedestal chaos at the moment



Found some red plastic for modding goodness seems to cut and drill nicely



Debating whether to put a couple GT fans blowing up from pedestal could be mounted underneath

Lol @ those IDC bottles. Seriously a good chuckle. Thankfully none of mine ever came frozen. However I doubt it would have any impact after it thaws. I don't suppose you know exactly how tall your case stands?
