Its an inner tube for your res. Basically made so you can have your inlet at the top of the res, without filling it completely.

Yea. sucks!
I tried to set up the loop with a dedicated fill and drain port. Its working now, but I didnt have the line from the res to the pump long enough, so when i tried adjusting the res.... the tube popped off and the fluid went on spilling out.

I have it running distilled for now... need to order another bottle of IDC and maybe a new res. With the inlet at the top, it seems to have some difficulty in getting the air out... and I should have checked but the inner tube doesn't seem to want to fit my res.... damnit!

Hey All!!!

I promised an update. But alas, its a small and sour one.

I'm going to hold back on the story of how, but I managed to ruin not only one, but two bottles of IceDragon nano fluid. Not a happy camper right now.

However, that story is for later.
Lets show what has been done so far! :D

So Sparty has found a new toy. my HTPC! (which will be rebuilt later ;)

I think he might be a bit distracted. So time to go to work.
That silly tiger is always getting in the way.

So, Here are some new (to me) parts!

A used Thermochill PA120.4 :D Beautiful rad and performs very well.
Two 1650rpm fans, and some beautiful fluid :D

How can you not like a rad like this. Second hand? really? great shape too!

So lets dismantle everything! Dont worry, i'm only assembling this to give me an idea for how i want the loop to look. this will be nowhere near the finished product. I'll be rebuilding this thing about a thousand times by the time i'm done :D

Oh... so many things that need remounting and fixing! :(

So, how does the block look you ask?
Well,

Pretty good i think :D.... copper is soooo pretty

So, While filling my loop to test... the pump started to go nuts. I try to adjust the res to let the bubbles out and Boom! there goes the first spill. :( The line from the res to the pump pops off and everything spills. 1ltr of fluid ruined :(

So l decide to clean it up, and rebuild. This time with distilled... until I get more fluid.

But, once i get the new fluid...
there is another major spill.

i swear i build these things drunk or something :(

But thats for the next update ;)

In select spots, yes.
From the res to pump (through midplate when i get to it.) is going to be clear.
As well, I plan on getting a Plexi block for my 570 or maybe even updating GPU's and getting an EK plexi block to show off the coolant. Whichever I decide to get.

Im a little tennative to get a third bottle of IDC knowing I've wasted two already.
I've had two tubes pop off the barbs (7/16 on 1/2in barbs.... weird) So I'm a little nervous to use it again.

As much as i want to. Its a bitch to clean lol. But I'm having a hard time not getting a third bottle.
We'll see. Maybe, just maybe I'll step up and get another one.

Next time you buy fittings and tubing try going w/ 3/8". Primoflex LRT 3/8" tubing over good non-stubby 3/8" fittings. Honestly the way to go IMO. I've never had a more secure fit.
