Alright I'm getting back on track.

I just installed my first water block ever on a gpu, and being the non dexterous person I am, I can safely say I never want to do that again.

So on the agenda for tomorrow... The next GPU.

All I can do is pray that the pads EK includes aren't electrically conductive.

I'm not sure if this forum allows nudes but, here is a sexy lady.

And of course the twins with the one that is 'different'.

The plexi card was bought used for an outstanding price and sandwiched in the middle I don't think it will be too out of place in my black & white build. I have white sleeved extension cable that will be powering the two acetel cards and the black extensions going to the plexi card for a black/white pattern.

It would be a big difference just based on surface area alone. Also add in that the 180mm fans more more air at lower DB levels pretty much can tell us that you can have a near silent system that can handle more "wattage" than say even a 4x120 and 2x120 loop. I wouldnt wager any further than that though lol.

jibz, what fitting did you use to connect that micro reservoir to the pump top like that? That is an awesome idea to do for testing purposes.

Just any male to male extender/spacer that has clearance, you can get rotary ones too. Can be found from dazmode under spacers and thread adapters.

That's actually how I've always intended to mount pump to res.

Now a concern I have is that I'd like to mount the pump on something to deaden the vibration to keep it silent, but that would be an insulator and I've noticed bottom of the pump at the motor feels to be around 65c when sitting on foam. Is the heat from the pump something I should consider/concern about or is it normal and safe for the motor to run warm?

It would still be ok sitting on some sort of foam. The less restrictive the loop the faster the DDC runs so higher heat. If you add a CPU block to the loop the DDC PCB temp will actually go down. It is very weird but true.

I'll be adding a raystorm which isn't the most restrictive block but compared to 3 GPUs in parallel that should make a big difference also the distance through the radiator and 4 90 degree angles should slow the flow substantially.

So after a little thinking I figure mounting the pump on thermal pads would deaden some vibration and transfer pump heat to the steel frame to dissipate.
