My System Specs

Default Presentation platform?

Since I sell many custom-built rigs but only have pics to show, I decided to build a showcase platform. And since I had time today waiting for parts, I started it... and finished it after having recieved the "piece de resistance", the Asus Maximus Extreme...

Components:

Asus Maximus Extreme
E8400 (Q9450 once available)
XFX 8800GTS XXX 320Mb
Patriot PC3-12800 2x1Gb
Antec Neo 500W modular
Samsung 80Gb SATA

Water-cooling parts:

D-Tek DB-1
Swiftech Apogee GT (bowed)
Swiftech MCP-120 (2x)
Swiftech Micro-Res
Scythe S-Flex F (4x)

The base is 1/2" plywood , with 2"x3" pine for the res and rads support. The red surface is self-adhesive felt. I almost went for blue felt...

The rig is being leak-checked until tomorrow morning, then it's oc time with an E6400 (until I recieve the E8400)...

That is very nice!! My test bed is my motherboard boxes. And I usually just plug a HD in with a long sata cable going into my main rig haha. Lets hope Canada Post gets your E8400 there tomorrow morning!!

Thanks guys for the comments - really appreciated. As for the tye-wraps (zip-ties), I decided to use 2 different methods of sealing the connections, the traditional tye-wrap and the Swiftech clamp, in order to show that both are viable solutions. Then I saw that I was missing 2 green tye-wraps....

I'd buy that right now. No more cases for me!

Really lends an air of professionalism and I think your clients will really appreciate that.

No, not at all! It was more difficult to setup the loop components on such a small platform and figure out the wood cuts than to cut the plywood parts to size. Overall, it took me about 2 hours before I could start installing components. No paint, the surface is a self-adhesive felt.
