Stacker 832 Revisted Doing my first build in this case in a couple of years. Decided to upgrade and watercool my server. This is what the build was like last time I used it. http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b1...ified-Full.jpg http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b1...ed-Close-2.jpg I didn't like the powdercoated glossy interior. And since I was cheap I decided to remedy it myself. Brought out my favourite 'paint' in the world, Plasti-Dip. I also finally decided to mount the radiator properly. In the past I just used 3M tape to hold it under the case. Also have the Koolance 770ml reservoir mounted. Don't mind the stains in the first pic of it. Oxiclean and a toothbrush were able to get most of them out. I also bought back my old GTX460. Cleaned the block out, then decided to give it a nice black touch before I put it back together. http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b1...r/radiator.jpg http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b1...oirmounted.jpg http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b1.../plastidip.jpg http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b1...cker/zotac.jpg |
Any updates? Curious what hardware you are going to use for the storage/server......I am planning on changing mine around and could sure use some ideas  |

As for hardware it will be using a 2600k and a P8P67 Pro that I stole for my main rig while I wait to upgrade to SB-E. The rig will be used for folding@home, which is why I am using the 2600k. For storage I'll be using my two Sans Digital TR8M-B external drive enclosures and a RocketRAID 2314. Performance sucks but not something I am interested in for mass storage. I have five 3TB drives so far for main storage and eight 2TB drives for backup. I will have three bays open for storage later on. And since I am going to be using the Drive Bender software, I can easily expand later on. |
Dude, those are gorgeous! |
Thanks for the input. Would you be running this in your family room as a HTPC as well? Or just a server in another room? |
