haha yea I know that feeling, I wish i had the skills to do this sort of thing. Even with a step by step and the fact i have metal working shop at my disposal (farmers shop that is) I still can't do anything near this level.

I painted my Noctua fans pearl white to match my raven02 and I did nothing to protect them or disassemble. They turned out perfectly, no balance issue or extra noise. I don't know what the professional opinion is on that method but it works for me.

For reference the paint was Krylon Frusion, great product for painting fans.

Thank you for the feedback guys! I should have the top grill finished tonight. I will try experimenting with heating copper for different surface effects too.
