Default Laser cutting question

Does anyone have experience with a Canadian shop that does laser cutting?

I've got 2 radgrills that I need to have laser cut and would really rather avoid cross-border shipping.

Alternatively, does anyone have experience with a shop in the states that charges reasonable rates for shipping?

It would be an added bonus for me if the same shop could also countersink the mounting holes and paint the grills too.

Thanks in advance!

(FWIW, I've got the layouts done in .dxf (just the layouts) and .pdf (with dimensions) files)

Do you happen to know if they ship via UPS or USPS to Canada?

Arrow Laser Equations or alternate

If you are in the Calgary area then you can try Laser Equiations, I do not know how they are for shipping for out of Calgary jobs. Their contact info should be on their home page: Laser Equation - Industrial Cutting Solutions

Edit: Alternatly, if you would care to have them machined, I can see if the company I contract to can provide you with a quote (Red Deer area).

I would imagine that most metal working shops have some laser cutting equipment. If you're up around the Markham area, my company does quite a bit of business with Stentech (laser cut stencils for solder paste application onto PCB's). I know that there are a few shops around the windsor area that do this as well, but the names escape me for the moment.

Laser cutting is actually pretty common....the brackets we lift buildings with are laser cut.

We get em done at JP Metals Calgary.

Now , laser cutting may not actually be what you want , depending on the material , waterjetting may be what you want.

Start looking at metal fabrication shops in your area , there is no reason to get it done in the U.S. , there's metal shops all across Canada that can do it.

I'm actually in the Ottawa area, and the suggestion to check with local shops is a good one. I keep forgetting (and getting reminded) that not every business has an online presence.
