Welcome on forum! those flame are awesome! Very realistic looking! Just sad that it wont add speed XD Keep on good work dude that's awesome.

It's not used any more, so don't need speed.... Just thought I might try painting a computer case. Different from a car, motorcycle and helmet etc.!

He was asking if you used some stencils. I'd say no, from the pictures it looks like freehand airbrushed to me. Very nice work.

Actually, if you look closely at the picture, you can see a cardboard cut out. So yes, I'd guess that was used for the edges of the flames, or to create a shape to follow. We'll see if the OP has any more to add.

Stencils are ALWAYS used when creating flames. Its how you make nice perfect layers.
