I almost forgot that I strapped two more 120mm fans on my hard drives.

Just got a slip in my mailbox for what I think are my GPU blocks. I'm eagerly awaiting picking them up on Monday, and then I can assemble / leak test. Should be running by next weekend assuming all goes well. I'm also looking for some better clamps than the ones I have right now, they're a little too thick.

kcksteve:

I'm planning on running the gamut when it's all said and done. It will be running either a triple boot with XP Pro 32-bit, Vista 64-bit, and Ubuntu; or just XP / Ubuntu. I'm not looking forward to purchasing a copy of Vista, so it will probably be XP / Ubuntu.

OK, been a while since I've updated. I was having major problems with leaks. Picked up some teflon tape and that fixed most of them, although my res was still leaking like crazy. I ended up just putting a T-Line in since I was tired of dealing with that res. It's bleeding as we speak.

What sort of leaks, exactly? I've heard occasional complaining about DD's reserviors, but nothing else on your list was jumping out at me as being known for troubles.

It was leaking around the barbs even after I had tightened the clamps as hard as I possibly could. Not entirely sure where it was coming from, but that was a minor problem compared to the bubles it introduced into my loop. For that alone it got the boot. I had retightened the barbs at least 4 times before I gave up on it. It leaked through the paper towels all over my poor DVD drive. The NCIX label is so mangled lol.

In other news I ran it all night since midnight and it is leak-free. I'm going to start getting the rest of it ready.

So I'm pretty sure my mobo is DOA. I've tried it with a single stick of RAM, single video card, and a different CPU. Looks like it's going back to NCIX in favour of the eVGA 780i .

Got my new mobo and it is working GREAT. I'm posting on my new rig right now. I'm running four instances of Prim95 and getting 40C MAX on the CPU at stock settings. NICE! Unfortunately my NB and s/b blocks no longer fit this mobo so I just went with PUMP > RAD > CPU > GPU1 > GPU2 > PUMP. That DD bay res was junk so I just used a T-Line. Pics coming sometime tomorrow.
