Project Fierce Llama
Hi there everyone,
Looking forward to posting a worklog of my first liquid cooled system.
Ordered everything last week, hopefully it will all arrive before Christmas.

SYSTEM:
Intel Core i7 980X
Asus Rampage III Extreme
24 Gb Corsair Dominator (6 x 4 Gb) DDR3 RAM
OCZ Vertex II 256Gb SSD
2 x 2Tb Western Digital Caviar Black HD
2 x nVidia GTX 580's and 1 nVidia GT 220 dedicated to PhysX
Creative Sound Blaster Titanium Fatal1ty Champion
Enermax Revolution85+ 1250W PSU
HAF X case w/ filter kit and side window mod (to be done)
Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit

LIQUID COOLING:
EK Supreme HF Nickel / Plexi CPU waterblock
EK-FB RE3 Nickel / Plexi motherboard waterblock
2 x EK-FC580 VGA waterblocks
2 x Laing D5
Bitspower Dual D5 Mod top Acrylic - clear
Bitspower D5 Pump mod kit - Silver Shining
Bitspower matte Black compression fittings
Black Ice SR 1 360 Rad
Nexus Real Silent PWM 120mm fans
Black Ice SR 1 560 Rad
4 x Noiseblocker Black Silent 140mm fans
EK Bay Spin Res Dual Loop - Plexi
Primochill Clear 3/8 ID 1/2 OD tubing
NZXT Sentry LXE Touch Screen Fan Controller

Lighting theme will be purple / blue as will the mdpc-x sleeving.

I plan to run a dual loop as follows:
res - pump - CPU - mobo - 360 Rad - res
res - pump - GPU 2 - GPU 1 - 560 Rad - res

CCFL lights and LED's in UV and Purple to highlight internals and wiring.

Look forward to posting pictures when it all arrives.

Wow nice setup!

I'm confused with that pump top ... isn't that top using 2 pumps for the SAME loop? How do you plan on running 2 loops with it?

Send back the GT220, you will not need that for Physx.. in fact, it will lower your frame rate if you use it. Dual 580s are beyond what any physx application would need.
Anywho, other than that, looks like a good build.

Educate me why would one want to electroplate a nickel waterblock with copper, i know copper is better at conducting heat but aside from that? Thanks!

Same reason they do it to the larger heatsinks.. prevents tarnishing.

Aesthetics. Too match in with the other two blocks which are nickel/plexi. Couldn't order them that way due to the popularity of the new cards.
