My System Specs

Smile Bo's Guilty Pleasure 2010 Build

Well, I caved in with the Black Friday deals and purchased a whole new setup! I'm getting sick of my HP Envy (not that it's bad, I just don't need to be portable!) so that may soon be available in the BST section soon . Parts are not here yet but this is what I've put together (Case, DVD and PSU TBA!)

Seagate Momentus XT 500GB Solid State Hybrid Drive
ASUS P7P55D-E Pro
Lost Planet 2 PC Game Steam Digital Download (Free!)
OCZ OCZ3G1333LV4GK 4GB DDR3 2X2GB DDR3-1333 9-9-9-20
Intel Core i5 760 2.8GHZ
Coolermaster V6GT CPU Heatsink
XFX Radeon HD 5870 HD587XZNFC 850MHZ 1GB

As for PSU, I will most likely be getting the Corsair HX650.

Any recommendations for a case though? I'm currently thinking of the CM 690 II Advanced...let me know your thoughts! I would like a case with a black interior.

Pics and progress to be posted!

Yeah, the 690's good, you won't be disappointed.
What about like a 700D? 600T?

Alrighty I just got the PSU. Now in terms of cases, I'm stuck between these couple. Give me some opinions!

Corsair 600T: I love the functionality and cable management, but I'm not too fond of the looks.
Fractal Design Define R3/XL: Would the V6 GT fit into one of these? Cable management is not as good as the 600T, but the looks are there!
Cooler Master 690 II Advanced/Basic: Good cheap case, but I feel that is could be loud...

Please give me opinions!

Memory Express has the Antec 902 on sale for like $50 I believe. Memory Express deals are a lot better than NCIX deals..

Seriously dude, if you look at 600T and fractal R3 the 6902 and the nine are just not in the same categorie. I would go for the fractal myself because I love the clean look but the 600T is a awesome and huge case. Look the one you prefer for the exterior and buy it!

I know you already ordered but saw a great deal on the Storm Scout over at Newegg.

Newegg.ca - COOLER MASTER Storm Scout SGC-2000-KKN1-GP Black Steel / Plastic ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

I liked this case but I know there can be issues of clearance for very tall coolers if you are using fans on the side panel, as it is a compact version of the Storm Sniper.

Still good deal though.

That is a very good deal indeed. That would make a great LAN party case!

I have the Fractal Design Define XL (actually 2) and its a great case! I'm sure the R3 is just as good, albeit a bit smaller. Good choice.
