Default SR-2 in a mid tower build

So I decided to cheap out at the last moment and not spend $500 on new WC gear and equipment to build myself a SR2 capable bench table. Instead I decided to just air cool the SR2 instead and since I have everything (or on its way) it won't cost another penny.

The target, a Silverstone FT01-BW.

As you can see she is rather dusty being sitting in the closet for many many months.

An SR-2 is going to fit.... in this?!?! With a little work, yes sir, she should.

nice, so basically you're going to be cutting away a few corners and displacing the psu? :)

good thing ssd's are small, you can fit them above or below the dvd drive. i velcroe'd mine to my browsing puter

There definitely won't be any optical drives. No room.

hmm..how about the super slim ones? at least dvdrw, the blu rays should be too expensive. you might need to open the door to use it though, depending on where you put it. ive used a couple where space did not permit the regular or even the shorter ones, in standard 5.25in optical drive thickness.

still, its gonna be interesting and cable management will be quite the jobbe.

I don't use optical drives besides ripping blurays. And I have two of them in another system. Cable management shouldn't be be since the only thing that is going to be in this system is the SR2, one SSD, and a single videocard.

Definitely interested to see how this turns out! Which processors did you end up going with?
