Just looking through this build now - crazy stuff. Make sure you save the photos you take - even the best hardware is eventually obsolete, but good looks can be pretty darn near forever.

And if you haven't found out already - watch those VL4 QDC's. They're fawesome, but they're not even remotely no-spill when taking them apart. I always wrap mine with a few layers of paper towels, and they come away well-stained every time.

Rison you must have got that 980x cheap as it looks like the box literally fell off the back of a truck!

That or somebody tried to open it already, and a fail attempt to make it look nice again.

I haven't found out first hand yet but I have heard the same thing about the QDC's, that's why I tried to keep them pretty much in one area, up high and away from where any spillage can do any damage.

chris: I'm not sure if I'll get any folding done or not, I'll see how things go

Rison & Liu: Thanks for the welcome I have to admit I'm looking forward to seeing what this chip can do, I really can't afford the damn thing but as I said, the Black Widow deserves it

And rj? I forgot to reply to your post, unfortunately EVGA didn't sponsor me...yet! I will be submitting to Mod Rigs for sure, even though it's a random draw the odds of 200 -1 aren't horrible so who knows

man, if you're going that crazy - you should be hooking up the nvidia 3D system.. what's 3x 120hz panels and a set of glasses?

As for my box.. yeah, it got kicked to my location. I bought the 980x used off a fellow HWC member for a decent price.

And you should definitely be folding with that 980x.. or at least intensive rendering. Not a lot of programs out there use 12 cores.

The 980X should come first! THEN the monitors.
