My System Specs

Default GTX 480 SLi n TJ09

I know quite along while back I had posted pics of my 280 Tri SLi arrangement...anyhow, some pics with new Fermi (still undecided as what to do with my 2 280's ;) )

My Plexi-Glass Side Window is at the Industrial Plastics shop getting a 140mm hole cut in it. Could have tried this myself, but guaranteed.....I would have cracked the plexi-glass, anyhow I'll have the side cover back in a few days.....I'll Post up a few pics with my side cover, new Xigmatek 140mm Blue LED Fan and HC's Grill Cover (hopefully it will provide a tad more fresh air blowing on these Heat Pipes).....

Cheers

That has to be loud as anything at 75% fan speed

^^ Why do you figure that?....Actually quite the contrary....Not at all at 75%, actually barely audible over other Fans....both GPU's at 75% is about the same as Tri Sli 280's at 75%...

I idle @ 65% and cannot here them over my several other 120mm Fans Temps @ idle 39 - 40c on both

Gaming at 85%....nice wooossshh, but hardly crazy loud...no louder than my Tri Sli 280's at the same Fan Speed...load Temps in Metro 88c

Now if you push the Fans to 90 - 100% its intolerable....the noise ramps up big time at those speeds, but haven't had the need for that.

Hard to say which one is most effective as I think they are most effective working together, BUT, I would have to say the single most effective Fan would be the one you cannot see in the pics.....its directly in front of the GPU intakes, draws cool air in from the sides (that big slot / opening you see forward of the GPU's and Aft of the HD's)...expels the cool / fresh air directly into the GPU intakes.

That particular Fan is a Scythe S Flex 1900 RPM...

surprisingly enough this rig is not that loud at all with all these Fans,.....I guess cause thier all 120mm...my 2nd Rig in my Sig has 1 x 120mm and 2 x 80mm and its wayyy louder with those 80mm singing away.

turning them down a bit makes a difference? some fans have a certain hum to them even at reduced rpm's :)

i got some 38mm scythe's and at around 50% juice the ysound the best. any lower or higher..they tend to get on my nerves lol
