Default LCDGUY's Supercalifragelistically Uber Awesome Core i7 Build of Epicness

*Please Note, i will be updating the first post with pictures as i take them.

Well i recieved most of the parts for my new build today. Everything except the ram.(grrr. stupid 12GB kits not being in stock) I should be getting the ram tomorrow. I will posting some pics later tonight of all the swag that's come in but here is the hardware i have to playwith.

Intel Core i7 930 CPU
Asus P6X58D Premium
Corsair 12GB XMS3 (2GBx6) DDR3-1600
Antec 1200 Tower
Intel X25-v 40GB x4 (raid 5)
WD 1TB Black Sata 3 x2
LG Blu-ray Burner
Samsung 2494SW 24" monitors x2
XFX Radeon 5770 1GB
Corsair HX750W PSU
GELID Tranquility Heatsink
Windows 7 Professional

I can't wait to start to play with this. Expect an update later tonight.

Hi, what is the purpose of 5 smalls SSD in raid 5 ? You gone kill them with the parity writing

It doesnt feel very Behemoth-y. And i think that the name is being over used tbh.... oh well. Its an i7 system really, not a behemoth, hehe.

Yes I agree. Nothing screams Behemoth about this build, although, I am still excited to see some pictures

as for the SSD's they are strictly for OS nothing else. So i am more worried about read then write performance. I want raid 5 since it allows me to have a single volume for the SSD's and i know the read performance is ludicrously high (i was getting around 700MB/s read on the intel controller).
