Default GPU and Waterblocks are here!

Well I got my video cards and Waterblocks this weekend, finally got them installed! I went with MSI GTX 480s, which have classified they have "Military class components" All it means is they have higher grade components which reduce the buzz should heard during HUGE FPS moments haha. Pretty good stuff, I also got a Free game in each one, Already have RE5 so I'll be getting Dark Void and Street Fighter IV, pretty sweet!

Here are the pics:

Waterblock:

GTX 480

Heatsink and Fan removed:

Just gross amount of Thermal Paste:

This is how to apply thermal paste ;) :

Block is done:

Both are done:

All thats left now is to put them in and put some water in! I'll have pics up of that tomorrow.

Nice lady to hold the tubes for you.

but whoa, from MM to 800D?? you sure :P

Good job picking up two cards, where did you get it from??

Atm, the scaling for tri-sli is not so nice. We probably see better driver support for Tri-SLI and 3d vision.

^^ I've been waiting over a year! Not holding my breath now.

I'm happy with the decision I made though, Over 5-6 games I recently played make use of a dedicated physx card so it seems thats not slowing down! Yeah I'm happy I went from MM to 800D, the 800 D is awesome and more over whats important... SIMPLE.

I lost Koolance when they started making really poor quality blocks. There was rusted threads on mine, stripped screws, and just crap like that. Then they made a few ALU. parts...

Danger Den has also gone down hill quite a bit.

Ek has a block out for the 470/80 out.

Only my 2c.

Koolance has really cleaned up their act with the last few generations of full covers. They're making some of the best water cooling stuff out there these days. And not just at the "entry level" tier. They've got great enthusiast grade stuff as well.

As Linus said, I'm really happy with the Koolance blocks, I would say they are very high quality. The LED's may be a bit much, and they dont work with GTX 480's as they have a 4 pin fan vs a 2 pin one that most Nvidia cards do.
