My System Specs

Default simple 800D system *pic heavy*

Hello everyone, here is my new 800D, still WIP, still waiting on purolator to ship my 2nd shipment

here is the system specs :

Corsair Obsidian 800D
XFX 850W Black Edition
ASUS P7P55D-E Pro
Intel Core i5 750
G.SKILL F3-12800CL9D-4GBRL Ripjaws PC3-12800 4GB 2X2GB DDR3-1600 CL9-9-9-24
Coolermaster Hyper 212 Plus
2x 1TB WD Black
2x Seagates 7200.12 500gig in raid 0
1x 500gig WD caviar
Audigy X-FI Fatality platinum (old pci version)

here's the new Case

just to show what the old system looked like : original thermaltake Armor case with 25cm fan.

side by side of the old armor and 800D :

and now what my old system looks like in the new case :

yeah thats a HDT-S1283 with 2 fan's, had to invent a way to stick a second fan on it, witch only improved the temps by 1c (with not perfect past job)

paper clips FTW lol

full album here : Picasa album

purolator is supposed to drop off my 2nd shipment with new mobo/cpu/ram, once that is installed i can begin to install my lights and other stuff inside the case, square up the wiring. the 24pin connector is realy tight fit with that mobo, hoping the p7p55d is just a tad lower.i do plan to resleeving most of the wires once i get the time for it as i don't like to see the dam color of the wires, the XFX Sleeving is ok, but this case demands slightly better Sleeving.

also whant to add a fan controller, i gota say i kinda like the looks of the Zalman ZM-MFC3.

ill post more pics once more work gets done.

lol that side of the desk isnt that bad

thats an other project i have for this summer

well ive done more work on it

shipment #4 came in, my 2 R4's for the 212+, max temp don't go over 63, about 4-7C difference from stock.

i repainted my CC converter, was an ugly blue, now its flat black and almost matches the case perfectly, kinda cool for a old can of paint from my last mod.

and the painted version

i know its not the best wirering job around(ive actually made it look better but forgot to take a pic), but i was kinda looking into making my own custom wires so i could get the length perfect for each component, but that's for later. (no its not an IDE cable, its the but ugly link for my X-FI platinum(also planning a custom wire)

also installed my blue cathodes, i installed them way in the back(top part behind where the rad would go) and it creates just a nice glow in the case without being over powering.

yes its crooked, wont fit the way i want it with the length of cable it as, but you really cant see it normally hehe

next few steps include sleeving the wires and possibly custom wires.

i am looking into doing a new mod project with my old TT Armor case(my @home/fileserver) system, involves some painting(although i am not the best at it) and possibly a full dismantle and rebuild of the case itself. if i can figure out what i want to do with it.

now i need to find a good place for my CC switch.

well today i was greeted with a very nice box of toys from Nils, my MDPC-X sleeving was here :)

humm i hope that's a drawings of whats inside... hehe Nils is always superb

sorry for bad light not sure where i put my diffuser and i my good cam broke.

now for the good :

that's just part of it, forgot to take a pic of the rest.

now for my very first sleeving attempt, on a simple Fan(its and R4)

now i think i did ok.

5 more (all R4 hehe) to go, then onto Sata cable's and then PSU... think that's my weekend project cause its gona take a while to do all of it.

MDPC-X is awesome stuff.

no pics yet, but ive done a little work,

ive changed the 2 fans on the hard drive bays, put a R4 on the lower bay(next to PSU) and a Noctua NF-P14FLX 140MM Ultra Quiet Cooling Fan 750-1200RPM 71-110M3/H 10.1-19.6DBA on hot-swap bay.

the noctua as a decent static pressure for the size, so far they are doing perty darn well, my hdd's look to be almost 7C lower now.

now to finish sleeving
