My System Specs

Default Project: Minion
"A servile follower or subordinate of a person in power"

Objectives:
- HTPC
- Small/Thin
- Remote desktop client for Behemoth (hence the servitude)

Parts on Order:

- Silverstone LC19R - SilverStone Technology Co., Ltd - Designing Inspiration

- Sony Slim DVD-RW

New PARTS:
- AMD Athlon X4 605e(45w Quad-core @ 2.3Ghz)
- ASUS M4A785-M (mAtx mobo)
- Dynatron 1U All-copper HSF.

Thanks encorp! A VIA system from me has been long overdue, haven't built one since the days when C3s were brand new (aka the P3 era), lol. Everything's in the mail! Can't wait to dig in and build a system under 3 inches tall!

Actually been a while since I've seen a VIA build myself, back when I was in school, I had a AMD Athlon (can't remember which one) using a board with VIA chipset..

That case looks slick..

That VIA board has weird layout, where's the 24 pin ATX, and the SATA cables, then again I'm not familiar at all with HTPC cases.

There's no 24-pin, its a 20-pin at the top edge of the motherboard near the IO ports. Strange, i know, but that suits me fine since the LC19 is an older legacy SS case that only has a 20-pin 120w PSU. Sata ports are just just about the "front" edge of the PCIe slot, lol.

So... with the riser card, does that case accept full-height PCIe cards? That sounds pretty cool!

That is affirmative sir! PCIe riser card will allow for a full height card to be installed, but the length is restricted heavily by the optical drive. We shall see when everything arrives!
