My first H20 build with a Thermaltake Bigwater on a S939 3200.
This pic is a very rare vintage as the Bigwater is running in the pic and the pump died after only 24 hours.
Also that blue rez at the top is a Thermaltake aluminum that was "designed" to go with the bigwater (which had a copper CPU block) and was a flaking mess of corrosion in just that same 24 hours.
I didn't even bother to RMA the POS and just filed it under "G"

This is the computer that first sucked me in to the world of PC gaming. Nothing like manually entering in games from a book and saving them to cassette...

My Mac SE was my first computer back in 1988, monochrome screen, a UI, 1Mb of ram, an 8Mhz CPU with a 20Mb hard drive (seen to the left of the keyboard).

I also have a motherboard out of a Mac Plus from 1991 I converted into an aquarium, anyone notice a familiar looking logo on the chipset? Yes, AMD made parts for Apple once.

IIRC, the game you have up on the screen there allowed 2 cocos to be connected together and thus allowed direct head-to-head aerial combat.... :) (My first non-calculator computer was a grey chicklet coco).

Oh man does this thread bring back memories! my 1st comp. was this Tandy 1000 back in '86! I believe I paid around $1100 for it too! It didn't even have a HDD! All it had was a 5 1/4" floppy drive and I think it was 128k ram!

you just remember me the wireless clicklet keyboard of the IBM PCjr . My first PC , was the timex sinclair at $ 79 at Distribution au Consommateur... what a pain to write a basic program on it. and came the commodores , the Apple II, the floppy was quite faster than the $ 500 serial one of the commodore ....I have also some coco ... and so on

not sure too much of the $ 500 ...but it was quit expensive, with the inflation, you can buy a $ 1500 laptop today for the price of those floppy

600MHz CPU and 128 MB of ram. it is running XP pro fairly smoothly.



the video card and modem.

and I found the HDD that was in my first computer.

must be the dust in the cooler that smooth the thing

Here's a picture of my very first computer system. I tried to OC it for years with a number of different upgrades (and additives) and even though the some of the I/O system just isn't what it used to be; still nothing beats it.

Here it is, first Computer, cost me 3K at FS...this is what my kids (now 20 / 21 yrs old) had in front of them at 5/6 yrs old, I actually bought it for them.
