Cores are peaking at 44/40 under orthos which is pretty good considering that this E6600 takes 1.575 to get it up over 3400....... :)

And that is only the beginning: my E6400 did 3.6 w/1.55V water-cooled.... usually with water-cooling, the main roadblock is cooling the NB properly. Once that's done, the board becomes rock-stable.

My System Specs

Default Nice temps

Those are impressive temperatures. I wonder what youd get with a quad. Bet your looking forward to folding with the 45nm chips.

I was looking forward to it, but I'm not willing to hold off until the 12M cache ones finally hit the street so I've got my eye on a used Q6600 that's posted some pretty impressive #'s.

Should know if I can get it in the new year. :)

Got my hands on that Q6600 I had my eyes on...... :)

3.9G after 30 minutes prime and there's more room where that came from :)

Doubt I'll want to run those temps 24/7, but not too shabby for a quad running @ 1.55V

Nice numbers! What's the VID on that golden sample? 1.2125V? My second Quad in my rig can reach 3.8GHz, same temps (64C, 1.525V). Just a tad too high for 24/7 ops. I have settled for 3.6, @ 1.45V.

Is yours under water too?

Default another monster OC

It really is "action stations" in the forum at the moment. Massive OC's all over the place

Thats a hell of a chip.

Coretemp lists VID as 1.2750 box has batch L726A850.

This is sitting under the "still under construction" new WC build.

I'm currently running 2 VMs but haven't got FahMon working on the second one... I'm assuming it's working as all 4 cores are working and total workload is 96% (do I have to change the machine ID on the second VM or is that just if you're running two instances on the same "machine"?).

Temps with the VM are maxing out at 55c so I'm going to let it run overnight to see how it does. :)

I can boot into windows and run super-pi @ 4G+, but it's not prime stable so it would need to be bumped up to 1.6V and I'm not willing to push it that far. :)

That is a great sample! You will have a lot of fun playing around with it! 1.6V is not really pushing it for benching; as far as running 24/7 w/1.6V, that's a different story. 55C under load is very much acceptable.

For FAH, each VM is a stand-alone environment. No need to change the machine id.
