My up-coming project! It's called "XETM"

Hey guys, look what i ordered tonight.

http://i242.photobucket.com/albums/f...te/899d0-1.jpg

Add to that the stuff i currently have. (See signature)

Also add a Dell 24" LCD Monitor, a Dual 120mm rad that i will use for my GPU loop (Still need to decide which one), a 190W 2.1 Speaker set-up and finally, Turtle's EVGA 680I mobo :)

I will probably post a worklog with a lot of pics during the process of building and watercooling all that stuff in my U2-UFO case. Well, if anybody is interested in such.

Would you guys be interested in such worklog ? I don't want to make the worklog if everybody thinks im just a rich guy spending all his money on computers and stuff. Which i ain't BTW

I have posted a sketch up about how i will mount all my watercooling stuff in my case. Looking for some inputs from you guys on my next build! - XtremeSystems Forums

So what do you guys think ?

Worklogs are always helpful, who cares if somebody gets envious of how much money you get to spend on toys..... :)

You're going to have to elaborate though.... I'm seeing both WC and a tuniq tower in there...?!?!?!

Yup, the HSPC tech station is great - both sswilson and I have one. Actually, I'm running 2 rigs on the same station... mobos top and bottom.

Are you sure about the Ultra X3? I've only read not-so-good reviews about the Ultra line... unless you know something I don't.

Yeah i am sure. I also read only bad things about the Ultra PSUs. Hell, i have experienced myself some bad things with an Ultra X-connect PSU. But things have changed it seems.

jonnyGURU's Personal Website

The GOOD:
  • Tons of power on tap
  • One of the most gorgeous power supplies I've seen, ever.
  • Stable power, no bounce, no play.
  • Clean power under the highest loads and the worst conditions
  • Incredible value at under $300... If you shop around it can be had at well under $300.
The BAD:
  • Not much to say here, there's nothing about the X3 I'd call bad
The MEDIOCRE:
  • Ripple is a bit high at extremely low loads
  • Voltage regulation is a bit on the low side but never out of spec.
Can't go wrong with Jonny's PSU review

BTW: I have a question for you guys. I added one of those NCIX Heavy duty shipping box to my order. Does that means that all my stuff will be really well packed in one big box or? Anyone knows? I don't think i have ever ordered such amount of stuff in one night in my WHOLE LIFE.

3.0charlie September 22, 2007 08:17 PM

Cool, just asking.

As for the HD box, never bought it. NCIX and DC always shipped my items in a box that I find sturdy enough - I never received one banged up, either by ground shipping or air shipping.

Patriote September 23, 2007 04:16 AM

Cool! I chose ground shipping with Purolator. Was the fastest and the cheapest :bleh:

Definitely post up a work log they are always welcome!

The only time I ever ordered the Heavy Duty box it never arrived with/around my order.

Of course NCIX refunded my money ASAP:thumb:

They are pretty good @ securing your order.
