Project "Korrax"

Hey guys.. I been without a desktop for a while now as I've sold off all the parts of my old rig which was composed of : C2D 1.86, 2GB 800Mhz, GeForce 9600GT. So I have been using HP mini 110 which i picked up for college just for bringing around and taking notes and stuff for class...

Anyhoot, it was a long and hard decision between waiting for i5/i7/LGA1156 or jumping into i7/LGA1366 ... but I have finally ordered all the parts for a new i7/LGA1366 rig. Ive brainstormed ideas for a name and finally came up with "Korrax" from the word corax which is greek or something for a crow or a raven.. since my build will be in a RAVEN RV02 Case :) Anyways Ill post some pictures here and show you guys as my parts come in, since im bored and have nothing else to really do with my time as I wait for Canada Post and UPS to deliver early Christmas to my doorstep.

Ive ordered 3 seperate orders.. first one was EVGA X58 LE and Corsair HX850 from Direct Canada, Second order was Core i7 920 C0.. didn't wanna pay extra for D0.. and Dominator Corsair 6GB kit. Third order was PM'd Raven 2 case from NCIX.

Alright so yesterday my first package arrived from Best Direct which I ordered Friday evening... very impressed with shipping time.

They Sent me a D0 !!!!!! At least I believe that SLBEJ means its a D0 so that was a big bonus for me :)

Dude, no offense or anything because after all, "to each his own" and everything...but that watch is, IMO, absolutely NOT sexy. =D

lol yeaaaa parts list is in my Signature. I already bought a GTX 285, and I have my old hard drives im keeping form my old build.. I wish i could get some WD Blacks but no money left lol.

ill post more pics as the parts come.. then ill post a full component shot and some building photos :) and review on that raven case and how everything runs.. aand yes to each his own :)

thanks guys :) i cant wait for the board and PSU to come in.. possibly tomorrow or thursday, it was in Mississauga at 12:30 but its canada post so might never come in. when it does they will leave one of those stupid cards saying now one was home to pick it up and you can wait until the next business day to pick it up... ill tweak on them this time.

yeah the mobo i got over the normal 3x SLI because of looks :D

Also: When my raven 2 comes in im going to be modding the window on it with some Car window Tint hopefully... Anyone got a reccomended Tint % to go with ? I want it to have an even more dark feel to it so you can look in and just barely see the components.. ill be puttin blue Cathodes in it too though. I think it would look super cool with a tinted window + neons.

Oh, like a hex number? try #000000 or if you want it a slight bit lighter try #222222 =D The darker the better.
