Oh, and a tip for you.... don't go slamming the card around fresh out of the oven. Those BGA chips have fallen off for me before and then you're likely 100% screwed. It would be damn near impossible to position it just right again for another round in the oven.

If you bake it too long your caps will blow apart. I did the keyboard for 5 mins, so 7 minutes for the thicker, bigger PCB of a video card is probably about perfect.

interesting, I never heard of such a thing til now. I've got a 9800GTX that will display but crash when loaded, and its just been laying in a box. This might be worth a shot since its done anyways.

This is exactly what they do to fix Xboxs basically. Remove the clamps and replace with screws, then run the system without any airflow so that it overheats to "resolder" the broken components. Genius really.
