I'm finally getting to work on my rig so I thought this time I'd take the time to put a little worklog together.
Here's the build parts:
i7 965 w/Alphacool Yellowstone WB, X58 Classified, 3x2GB G-Skill PI Black DDR3 1600 8-8-8-21, 3x GTX 280's w/Koolance Vid428 FC blocks, MCP355 w/XSPC Top, DangerDen Dual Bay Res., Thermochill PA120.3 push/pull , TT Tough Power 1200w, LG BluRay DVD (reader only), 2x OCZ Vertex 30GB SSD's, Seagate Barracuda 1TB HD, Samsung Spinpoint 750GB, CM HAF 932.
As you can see, I painted the case flat black in keeping with the colour scheme of the Classified's red & black. Hopefully the CPU block gets here early next week so I can get this puppy up and running. Right now, all the pics are basically a test fit to see how/where everything will get hooked up.
The rad was a little tricky for fit but after staring at things for awhile I found a safe way to mount it without even having to mod the case, although I was prepared to so if necessary. The tubing is a very snug fit, it just barely makes the turn out over the dvd without kinking. I'm using 3x Noctua P12's up top and 3x Scythe Slip Stream Kaze for the rad, there is just enough room for the board.
I'm also thinking of doing a lil mod job on one of the 280's, if I cut off the bottom part of the slot bracket I'll be able to use the bottom PCI-E slot for a 9800GT dedicated Physx card but I haven't decided on that one yet, I think it would be safe to say that the warranty would voided if I do it...lol
Well, thats about it for now
