Apple II wheeee! I played Lemonade Stand on it. That was my 1st computer experience.

I also spent a lot of time playing text based games on one of these babies!

First computer was a Tandy Radio Shack Model III that came with 48k RAM. I went out to Radio Shack and bought 16k for $78.00 and upgraded it. That would have been 1983 in Halifax. I had the tape drive and upgraded to a single sided, single density 5 1/4 floppy, internal, in 1984. We upgraded to and Apple clone (Apco SE) about 1986, it came with an nice external floppy drive, and my first IBM clone was in 1992 or so, and it had a huge 40 MB hard drive! Ah, memories :)

Heh... Let's not be trashing the cassette data drives.... at least all it took to make a copy was a double cassette deck... :)

Tandy Coco (chicklet keys) was my first (back in late `83 I believe). Then I moved up in the world and picked up an Apple IIc in `88/`89 (I've probably still got the reciept in the customs file for coming back from Baden West Germany).

Better than internet, we have the BBS..... what a fun do download a driver on it...
( now he will be lost for real )

You can also check the weather on CompuServe at $ 8 a hour . with probably the first cordless keyboard ( the infamous IBM PCjr )

But at the time all those machine came with a Book, but uncle Bill, discovers than one day he can still increase the price Of Windows , and make even more money in removing the book from the box, of course they still have the user agreement
