My System Specs

Default TJ0 "my i" 7

Here is the official start to my TJ07 i7 build. Not as organized or fancy, but at least it's somewhere I can keep a log of what's happening :)

Thanks to morphine!

My NCIX order was received today!

Not pictured is another "Gentle Typhoon" and some more S-Flex F's I'll be using on the rads.

Unfortunately it would seem NCIX stocks the wrong reducing adapters required!
Reducing Socket G1/4 to G3/8 Inner Thread
I asked a rep and he says both ends are female threaded. How am I supposed to put these things on my Thermochills?
I'll need to order some of these: G3/8" to G1/4" Adapter

Planned hardware:
i7 920
Some motherboard
Some 12GB RAM

Already have (not pictured):
X-Fi XtremeMusic
Seasonic M12D-850
BFG GTX285 w/EK FC-200b
FuZion v2
Thermochill PA120.3
Thermochill PA120.2
DDC3.2 w/Petra top
Primochill 3/8" ID 5/8" OD black tubing
Scythe S-Flex F 120mm fans
Black sleeving + heatshrink

On order:
X25-M 80GB

To be purchased:
G3/8 to G1/4 adapters
Some chipset blocks for the mobo
Gardner Bender cable clamps

To be researched:
Powder coating - There are a number of places near Scarborough Town Centre. Still need to give them a call and get quotes on some flat black.

Also trying to decide between keeping the windowed panel or hunting around for a non-windowed panel and going inverted ATX.

Subscribed. I've always liked the TJ-07, if I ever hit the lottery I'll be calling Murdermods the next day.

Take a look at semi-gloss for your powdercoating too, that's what I did my Cosmos S parts in. Looks really nice, if I do say so myself.

New parts!

i7 D0 from Dell
R2E from kruzn
X25-M 80GB from RFD

Ordered:
Crucial 6x2 GB DDR3-1333 RAM from Newegg

To be ordered:
Asus NBMAX
Arctic Cooling RC RAM heatspreaders
Bitspower true silver stop fittings

Quick question about case painting/powder coating -
If the metal has scratches in it (not very deep but can feel with your fingernail), will either spray painting or powder coating conceal it? Still haven't decided to spray or powdercoat.

The RAM is scheduled to arrive Monday, so I can get a test setup going to see how high this sucker will clock. Then after I finish cutting up my beautiful case, I'll disassemble my main rig and gut it for parts.. Fuzion v2, GTX285+FC from my Waterfish and replace it with a v1 and G92+FC.

The powdercoating I had done actually filled in the engraved markings on things to the point that they are barely visible now. So I'd say yes, it will fill in light surface scratches.

Very nice!
I'm doing something similar, but with the TJ09. Not a very mod friendly case, but aw well. Got a good deal on it from lemonlime.
Lol, about 80% of my build will be from parts bought from fellow HWC members.

I'm drooling over that X25-M. I had to settle for 3x WD 640gb Blacks for now until the prices drop.

Spray paint will not cover the scratches unless tons of coats are applied. However with such a nice case I would suggest staying away from paint. It just isn't durable enough and will scratch off rather easily.

Installing Win7 Build 7100 onto a test setup.

Temporary parts:
Quadro FX 550
Samsung DVD-ROM
Enermax Modu82+
STOCK HSF

Only installing 6GB of RAM for now. Will test to see how high these get before I decide to open up the second pack.

Thanks for the powder coating advice guys. Looks like I'll go that way after I decide what cuts to make on my mobo tray and mid plate. I've e-mailed a local company who supposedly offers "reasonable rates" on small jobs.

Let me know how your 12GB overclocking goes. 3 motherboards and 24GB later I still can't get past 175BLCK stable with 12GB installed.

Will do lowfat! I'm still only playing around with 6GB to get a feel for the new platform.

Loop: CPU + GPU (8800GTS 512)
Cooling: PA120.2, FuZion v2, D-TeK db-1, G92 FC, 2x5V S-Flex E
