I'm not completely up on the tech, but aren't the single 120mm thermochill rads supposed to offer similar performance to double 240mm thinner rads like the black ice ones?

I'm starting to look over individual pieces and damn it's hard putting together a decent WC kit without GPU blocks for under $300.... :(

Thermochill is good, but not that good. IMO they are still a waste of money.

Thermochills are nice, but they're very thick. Honestly I own a Thermochill and I'm still using my Black Ice GTS 240 and my older Black Ice Pro II in my main rig. It's because I couldn't use two Thermochills due to their thickness, and I'm sure two of those rads will outperform a single Thermochill.

Yes, but would a single 240mm black ice perform on par with a single 120mm thermochill?

Looking strictly at price concerns.... a person could pick up 2 X 240 black ice rads for the same or less than a single 120 thermochill, but the cost of an extra 3 fans must also be included which makes it either the same or possibly more for 2 X 240.

Yes it can but that depends on what type of GPU block you want. A full coverage one like the one i got is very expensive while a gpu with ran sinks is much cheaper. Also checkout the sponsored deals to see what is on sale and also look around on the internet since i have found lower prices than ncix and then price matched them :)

Unfortunately i got so caught up in the moment i take a before / after shot but if you want to see what it looks like now i can post a pic. Unfortunately now i am at the point where i am waiting for more parts (fill port) once this baby arrives i can finish connecting the last hose and leak test this baby.

Well there we go. Now you might want to know what i think of water cooling.

Well for my cpu the idle temps didn't get much lower than my thermalright xp-90 however the temps on my raedon card dropped from around 60 at idle to ardoun 39-40 aint to shabby.

That rad looks like it came with the case..... :) Nice job!!! (Did you notice the delta from load to idle temps???? that's what got me the most... :) ).

What did you end up using for coolant?
