Update: I now have the HD4550 (passively cooled) and Asus capture card in the rig.

Does anybody know some good freeware video capture software? the stuff that comes with the card blows.

I once had an Asus TV capture card and had nothing but problems trying to find software that was compatible with it. I hope you have better luck.
