Hey, it wasn't me, I only made the suggestion and we Kept it in PM's!!

On a good note, at least you will only need one MTEC Controller to run the setup, as they are good for TWO units a Piece.
My Opinion is to run them in Series.
That way you have a Failsafe in Case you get a Failure on one of them.

Good To see you go this route CM,

Regards,
ST

In series you say? The rep. from coolit didn't even suggest that.... Wouldnt that make it harder on whichever TEC is the primary? Since the heatload of 4 processors will enter it before it pushes towards the second TEC....

Not 100% if it would make it harder, just the First Cooler wouldn't dissapate all the heat and the second cooler would have to pick up the slack. I would actually turn the TEC's on the Second One Up Higher to allow the coolant the lowest possible temperature when it cycles the 4 CPU's.
That all being said CM.
This is a first in my brain too, in all honesty. I've delt with Dual CPU configs a few times in my life, but never 4, so I am in essence Brainstorming with you :)

I think though, so long as the MB lets it, it can shut down the system on Pump Failure (I know the Software for the MTEC has that ability).
That might be your saving Grace too.
With such a big system, and so much INvested Capital, I would take the Extra Time to Build in a Few Redundencies just for Peace of Mind.

This, is going to be Awsome though.

Yes, the software can shut down the system in the event of a failure, so for that reason I think I'd rather stay with the two separate loops... I don't like the idea of one pump and its TECs getting hit with the heat load of 16 cores at once... That may be a just a TAD more heatload than it was created for .

I vote for 2 separate so you can get a shutdown faster.

Yeah it was a really impressive unit and good service.

I can't wait to see these babies modded up. Any idea what blocks you are going to be using in this? (a 3rd party one might be a lot better than the stock, dunno).

Coolit has suggested using their blocks and letting them do the modding... perhaps even let me purchase a warranty for it? Yes, amazing service indeed. I just need the motherboard (and the other @#$@ing Freezone from SOMEONE) to get the measurments for all the tubing done.
