Here's a new HTPC for ya. Parts are in the first pic.
If you noticed, I forgot to put in the wireless card and even closed up the case before I noticed.
Case pic with build complete.
That case is pretty "Dam Good Value" for $75. It's the Nmedia 5000B. I've got the resolution set for 720p and Large Writing because I'm freakin blind when trying to read from afar. I'm running HDMI to the 42" LG 1080p "120Hz Tru-Motion", a feature which I never use, and using optical out to the receiver. For some reason when I go into the sound options I can't set audio output to 5.1 surround, only 2 channel. When I do sound tests for Dolby Digital and stuff like that though it gives the Ping sounds out of each speaker though! WTF! Anyone have some ideas on that? Also, can anyone tell me how to have my resolution switch to 1080p when I watch a movie on it and then back to 720p on desktop without manually switching it, if possible. Haven't really looked into it too much since I built this like 2 days ago but if you can tell me now it would save me some thinking time. Thanks.
