I think it looks pretty good. I would be worried about kicking it by accident myself, but hey it still is cool.

I know that mine can get pretty loud if I turn the fans up, so I totally get the idea of silence.

Good job.

Thanks, you can tell that fan noise drove me insane, and grumpy.

Looks good! Nice setup. Now you got a place to warm your toes in case they're cold ;)

Nice set up. But what are the chances of spilling a drink or kicking it like ipaine said .
You know they have expensive headphones + sounds cards out there that can help with fan noise

Most of us have family members and pets at home.
Family Members pets > fan noise

I live 5 km away from the Canadian cpr rail, during summer times the blowing horn >>>> everyone in the city

It looks great, and I completely empathize on the noise issue. I'd risk an open system for noiselessness as well... Although, on a separate note: Holy desktop icons Batman! How can you stand that!? If I have anything more than the recycle bin showing on my desktop, I nearly go in to apoplexy!

hehe, that was my xp install, I do my work on it, haven't rebuilt it in over 3 years. I have win7 32 and 64bit boots on here, they are cleaner.

Yeah, every time I look at it, I like it more and more...too bad that's not possible for me, with 4 little kids running around my house.

It was really easy to do. Drilled pilot holes and screwed the mobo standoffs right into the base. the aluminum bar was bought at home depot for $350. It goes across the back and holds the pci cards in place. Bought a bag of 2" L-Brackets and some 3/4" wood screws for everything else.
