Its a folding step stool rated to hold 300lbs and i know for certain the tv doesn't come close to that because i can carry it/move it myself without any strain

That must do a number on your neck. Even w/ a 32" TV directly on the desk I found myself slouching so see if confortably.

Nah, i have a pillow in the crappy res chair against my back and that little stand thing i use to extend the desk so that i am again further from the screen. My neck bothers me, must be my posture, who knows

got everything setup, well sort of anyways. Still waiting on center channel wall mount. I also ran out of sleeving so only have the wires are sleeved so far.

Messy. I need a new HDMI receiver too. Every time I want to switch from PS3/360/PS2 I have to change cables around and whatnot. Moderately annoying.

you could either get a new reciever or pick up a HDMI switch from monoprice.

I think the monoprice switch even works with the Harmony remote, if you've got one.
