paint that back wall a darker color and that whole room would take on another look.

it just looks like that nice white wall is going to waste j/k. I can understand not wanting a massive picture if your sitting so close.

I do not have a reciever yet, but I'm working on that. however, I'm not sure if that would fit with my tv being ontop of the stand..

Well, although receivers can vary in size quite dramatically, my 80 gig PS3 fits dead centre in the LACK with my 46" Aquos on top, and a quick measurement reveals that the interior space gives you about 6" of height.

I wish I had everything setup but since I'm moving in a few months I don't feel like unpacking and packing everything up again. I can post pictures of what I have though in great anticipation of getting it all together at some point. I couldn't find all the pictures but you get the idea. Unfortunately my Yamaha amp died so I'm waiting to replace it with the soon to be released Emotiva UMC-1 Processor.

Samsung 50" DLP 1080p (getting replaced)
Angstrom Omega 5 (used as rears)
Angstrom Modular 2

Angstrom 10i subwoofer

Angstrom Modular C center

Emotiva UPA-7 amp

Oppo DBP-83 Blu-Ray player

Thanks. Spending a ton of time researching really pays off in the end. I still need proper speaker stands and a tv/audio rack. The only problem with the UPA7 is that it weighs 75lbs and 7.75" tall, so I have to make sure the tv stand can support that much weight and the height.

you might want to consider something like a server cabinet for the heavy stuff (that's my plan) otherwise you would probably want something made out of metal or solid wood. It might be easier (if you want to go the wood route) to build the stand your self.

I'd love to build something myself but just don't have the tools or ability to make something I'd really like. So I'll probably be stuck spending $400-$500 on a stand. Thankfullly the speaker setup only cost me less than half of what it's worth. Found some used pieces (Omega 5 and 10i sub) plus picked up the Modular 2's that were store demo units in perfect condition, and the center channel I bought from their head office brand new for a great price. Those savings alone will more than pay for an expensive stand. I think the only thing I bought at full retail price was the Oppo since they are never on sale. I also have a co-worker who's friend or brother works at LG so I'll hopefully be getting the 60PS60 at a great price also. I might just wait a few more months though to see if LG is releasing any new models. I was hoping to get the 60PS80 but it doesn't look like that's sold in Canada. Patience and timing are everything :)
